Offbeat Cakes is a wonderful world where delicious cakes and tarts are created without gluten, dairy, eggs or animal products. Yes, all of our tasty products are suitable for coeliacs or people following a gluten or wheat free diet, suitable for vegetarians and vegans and suitable for people with milk, dairy or egg allergies/intolerance*. Offbeat Cakes is managed by Amy, a coeliac who follows a vegan diet, so you can be assured that our products are reliably safe to eat and enjoy because they are made by someone who knows about the risks of allergens in food! In addition, all staff have completed Food Standards Agency approved Food Allergy training to further our knowledge and safe practices when it comes to allergens.
We take great care in sourcing certified ‘free-from’ ingredients which are also organic, fairtrade and ethical where possible. We develop our recipes carefully with great attention to detail and through much trial and error we alter ingredients to make sure that our final product is spectacular in taste, texture and quality, not to mention that they last well, keeping moist and tasty for at least 5-7 days as well as being freezable.
We take orders from individuals, including celebration cakes, supply local businesses such as cafes and restaurants, and fulfill one-off orders for corporate events or buffets. We can even supply savoury dishes for buffet occasions on request – please contact us for more information.
*Please note that many of our cakes contain plant derived lactic acid which may not be suitable for lactose intolerance. We do offer a range of cakes which do not contain any form of lactic acid, so do get in touch if you wish to discuss this.
